#OZIL, #WELBECK, #CR7, #BALE, #CHICHARITO AND OTHERS SHINE IN TODAY’S MATCHES

Arsenal's much criticized midfilder, Ozil and striker Danny Welbeck, displayed a praise worthy form today in a match against Aston Villa in the Premier League. The duo led their team to victory of 3-0 within 4minutes.
While on the other hand, Cristiano Ronaldo's hat-trick, Javier Hernandez and Gareth Bale's brace helped Real Madrid thrash Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga in a 8-2 win. James Rodriguez was not left out in the fantastic display too, as the young star can not just stop netting for his new club.

REPUBLISHED: THE EFFECT OF DEREGULATION TO NIGERIA ECONOMY

It has been a very long while since I put my pen on paper, but the delinquent in our society has forced me to do this, thus, what should be a delightful applause as turned around to be a scornful boo. Suffice you to note however that, Nigeria is a country that gained independent from the British colonial master in the year 1960, however, that will be approximately 54 years from now, during this period Nigeria was known to have practiced two major system of government in governing her people; this is the parliamentary and federal system of government. Nonetheless, suffice me to note that, at the dawn of Nigeria, Nigeria’s economy has been a little scrum satisfactory, but not too satisfactory in the outside sense, due to the fact that she cannot boast of satisfying over 80% of her citizenry, leaving most of her citizen in abject poverty and abysmal health. Far gone, Nigeria has odds with her economy, leading to low standard of living of her citizen to a low standard of living; they are given second class level over the globe, if not 3rd class. However, these are many of the issues that will be address in this essay, though it’s rapt to bring to the understanding of many people the evil and peril our so called leaders have exposed us to.
It is amazing to note that the government of Nigeria, which is not made up of 25% spend over 25% of the national budget. What an irony you may wonder, but I want you to ponder on my submission that the government should do something about the budget been allocated to it (slashing or reducing it drastically I will humbly suggest). I was taught in my Government subject while in secondary school that it is very expensive running a federal system of government, but I was not taught in that same subject that practicing a federal system will lead to the collapse of a country’s economy or lead to INDEBTEDNESS as Nigeria has experienced in the past in the hands of past leaders.

MY OPINION ON THE FG $9.3M SCANDAL

I have not decided on a stance as regards the deep mess our dear country is in as regards a criminal investigation carried out by the South African government against Nigeria, but I smell foul play in the scenario. As a concerned citizen, I am curious to know if this large amount of foreign currency ($9.3 million) was bought from a bank using naira OR withdrawn from CBN OR simply was money stored under Uncle Jonathan's mattress. It is just pitiable to see that our so called politicians cannot just stop portraying all Nigerians as corrupt and greedy to the whole wide world.
Dollars isn't our currency. So how did the federal government supposedly obtain this large amount? If it was truly for the procurement of arms, then there should be paper trail of how the money was obtained here in Nigeria. And this should go on to serve as proof to the SA government.
I trust Nigeria government. They would claim they simply bought it from one mallam under the tree at the Muritala Mohammed Airport.
Meanwhile the poor masses are being disturbed and made to pay charges for a cashless policy they themselves do not respect/follow. What is the Central Bank of Nigeria doing about this since the money could only be sourced from a bank or CBN itself? Or is this part of the cashless policy?
Crime is apparently ridding on the back of our country Nigeria where blue is black and yellow is purple… what I really hate about these whole hullabaloo is the involvement of religious bodies such as Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in politics. I am still trying to fathom if they wanted to use Pastor Ayo’s jet to carry the arms into the country or something? On the other side of the hall, we have the self-righteous and greedy oppositions who are not even better of judging and power-hungry. Why most countries are planning a trip outside this planet and explore other planets, our greedy rulers are busy embezzling public funds.
Mimicking the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; “. Pilot na only you waka fly? What of the owner of the plane and the cash? Those ones no come too? Chai! The blood of innocent Nigerians are crying!! Cryyyying!!! Chai there is God o!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW MUCH CAN YOU FORGIVE

I will like to talk about forgiveness here today; on a day when different men and women round the country tie the knot. Personally, I belief the key to a successful marriage is trust and forgiveness among the couples. Thus, I will like to wish my good friend a happy marriage ceremony happening now in the city of Ibadan, wish I were there though. What are you doing this weekend; visiting the park, gym or attend one of those parties?
Back to my subject matter, forgiveness is a big thing/a difficult virtue to possess and a very expensive gift to receive. How much can you forgive someone who hurts you so bad? I think to answer that correctly, it will be nice if you ask yourself how much forgiveness you expect to receive from a person who you cheated. It is kind of easier to forgive than to forget as our religious doctrine says we should always forgive and forget. But not many people pass the first stage of forgiveness and wish to jump to the second process of forgetting. Not forgiving someone who wrongs you is like imprisoning yourself in a bondage that only leads to destruction and not forgetting is like submitting an incomplete project.

SHOULD I TELL?

(That is @roluseye serving his father land in Kwara State)

The last 13 months have been something out of the ordinary for me.

Deep, Deep, REALLY DEEP DEPRESSION.

Why?  You ask...

So many reasons that I can think of and even more that I haven't begun to discover yet.

What I have come to realize however is how we, as humans, don't like being confronted with others dark sides.
The fear, anger, sadness, anger, quiet, anger...

Did I forget to mention the anger?

And then, if you are the person going through this dark valley,
you start to feel guilty that you are feeling what you are feeling...

Which makes you feel even worse!

Does that make any sense at all?

This is the place I have been in.

Dark, dark, d.a.r.k.

My family and friends didn't know what to do with me...
so, I think they tried to ignore that it was happening.

For me, this just added to my feelings of loneliness and self-hatred.

It really wasn't until I made friend with a Professor from Lagos Business School,
who live and work far away (from me),
acknowledging what was going on with me
he gave me advice and a
chance to "talk it out" that I started to feel better.

Sometimes when we know someone is feeling down, we avoid them.
Or we avoid talking to them about what they are going through.
I am soooo guilty of this.
We don't want them to bring us down.
Or...
We don't really want know what lives beneath the surface.
For the person facing those dark days,
it feels like you just jumped off a cliff
and you know the landing is going to be rough...
really rough
and yet you are falling, falling, falling...

Knowing the landing is coming...

But it hasn't hit yet...

And it's coming...

You're anticipating it...

Where is it...?

When will this end...?

Why won't this just END!

And Yet, the falling continues.
All I can say is thank God that I seem to be on the upside of things... for the most part.

I am having more up days than down.

I seem to have a bit of my smile back.

I have a bit of my sense of humor back...

I am free now…

Sitting here this morning, writing about this dark place, it would be easy to sweep it under the rug and act like it never happened.

In fact, that is what I would normally do.
I don't like to share those kinds of things with people.
I don't like to show my vulnerable side.

It did happen, though.
It did.

Thankfully, when I felt at my lowest, I knew that God was with me.
I didn't have anyone else I could scream and yell at...
But he allowed me that liberty.
Just as David cried out to God asking WHY?
I did the same.
Yes, I felt guilty for what I saw as my lapse in faith...
but now I can see that my loving Heavenly Father was with me the whole time.
He never let me out of his sight.
He stood beside me while I cried and held me in his arms to comfort me.

I cried out to God for help; I cried out to God to hear me.  Psalm 77:1

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.
Psalm 107:6

How blessed we are when we have that friend that never leaves us.
No matter how dark the place is where we are.
No matter how low we think we are...
He is with us...
waiting for us to call out to Him.
